Transfer from/to the airport
The Airport is located aproximately 14km from the city of Rhodes and about 60km from Villa Nefeli in Kiotari.
From the airport you can either hire a taxi to anywhere on the island or take the public transport to the city centre or rent a car.
In the airport you can rent a car from known companies such as Hertz, Avis, etc. We recommend renting one in advance to make sure there is one available for you and waiting at the airport the day you arrive. During summer months the airport can be very busy and the availability of vehicles varies.
The public bus to the city center costs between 2,10 - 2,30€ one way. The timetable can be found here. Once in the city you can rent a vehicle from a multitude of local car rental services throughout the city of Rhodes.
The third and probably most expensive option is to use a taxi. Information on taxis can be found here. According to this, one way trip to Villa Nefeli in Kiotari costs around 65-74€. There are legally imposted fees for each baggage and airport service.
You should always ask the driver what is the expected fare to your destination. Moreover, taxis are legaly obliged to have and show their fare costs on a visible place in the car, usually on the dashboard. In case of dispute, you should always note the taxi number so that you can refer to the police if neccessary. You are advised to ask for a receipt of the fair paid.
